Taipa Village is a leisure and comfortable sanctuary for strolling, with Portuguese-style buildings and small alleys dotted around. Situated there is NAKA SHOP, which sells mainly handmade articles. Its pale pink-themed storefront feels very comfortable and cosy when the sun shines in through the windows of the Chinese tile-roofed building where it is located.

NAKA SHOP is opened with a hope that visitors will be able to find a unique handmade article that belongs to them, thus the items in the shop are all self-created. The shop features mainly fabric products and a pink and flowery interior. The fabric materials are mostly imported from Japan and the US, as the shop owner attaches high importance to their quality. The fabric articles include wallets, pouches, handbags, table mats, baby bed linens, and others.

Apart from fabrics, the shop owner also invites handmade brands from Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and others to station in NAKA SHOP, with postcards of watercolours, illustrations and churches of Macao creatively designed by artists being the best sellers. The finely crafted handmade accessories like earrings, bracelets and beaded strings are favoured by many local and overseas customers.

Apart from selling works, NAKA SHOP also looks to pursue peace of mind in the bustling city. It has a local handmade coffee zone at the rooftop terrace, where you can take a bird’s-eye view of the landscape of Taipa Village from a different angle and feel the tranquillity of this small city.
