JOC SQUARE is an original work shop opened in Macao’s Taipa Village in 2016. All of its products are fine realizations of its design concepts. The shop’s original brand Batata won the German Design Award Winner 2020 and a number of awards in Europe and America. The shop owner holds a philosophy that everything starts from a simple point, and amazing works can be made even in a modest square when every point is done well.

Batata and products like ink brushes and keyrings are made after a long period of research and production. The only cookie offered by the shop is made from collaboration with several local bakers. Batata Cookie, which insists on using the best ingredients, comes into being after relentless trials on texture and appearance, as well as six to seven revisions and a year of research and development that spans from the first die to the attempt of making dies by 3D printing. The perseverance with design and craftsmanship are its selling point.
