Two significant acts of devotion take place this month: the A-Ma Festival (Apr 18th-22nd), honouring the Goddess of Seafarers; and the Procession of the Dead Lord (Apr 18th), a unique Catholic tradition.

Macao keeps advancing as a global hub for tourism, with events such as the 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) (Apr 25th-27th). Meanwhile, food lovers can enjoy hands-on culinary adventures with Embark on a Gastronomic Journey with Master Chef: Exploring Flavors at Local Market (Apr 5th, 12th and 19th) and the Macanese Cuisine Cooking Experience (Apr 5th-6th, 12th-13th and 19th-20th).

Sporting action is served at the ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group (Apr 14th-20th), where elite table tennis players battle in a thrilling showcase of skill.

Marvellous May is an exciting mix of tradition, festivities, and modern culture in Macao. The first two combine for the Feast of the Drunken Dragon (May 5th), where locals perform the famed Drunken Dragon dance while carrying intricately-carved Chinese wooden dragon effigies.

Catholic traditions take centre stage with the solemn Procession of Our Lady of Fátima (May 13th), winding through the streets in a visually-striking display of devotion. Closer to the end of the month, the 2025 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races (May 24th, 25th and 31st) – inspired by an ancient sport originating from the Tung Ng Festival (May 31st) – turn Nam Van Lake into a watery battleground.

With the 35th Macao Arts Festival (until May 31st) in full swing, an eclectic mix of experiences awaits. Music lovers can also look forward to performances of You & Mi Sammi Cheng Live in Macau 2025 (May 9th-11th, 16th-18th and 24th).

With its unique blend of heritage, entertainment, and spectacular events, Macao in May is an experience not to be missed.
