Located inside East Asia Hotel on Rua da Madeira, Lan Heong Kuok is a Cantonese restaurant that starts at 6 every morning. It has no extravagant furnishing or splendid decorations. All it has is its 60-year history and the vibe that brings you back to your childhood memory in a split second. This is Lan Heong Kuok, a long-standing restaurant that has established a foothold with quality dim sum and a nostalgic atmosphere.

Lan Heong Kuok still retains the decoration of a 20th-century Cantonese restaurant. The tableware gives out a household feeling, while the dim sum sheet and the food provided convey a sense of history. Elders reading newspapers, leading slow lives, tasting tea and eating dim sum is the most common scene in Lan Heong Kuok.

Here, you can still find the traditional Cantonese dim sum trolleys. Travelling from table to table, these treasure carts loaded with dim sum are like asking if you would like to kick off the morning.

Recommendations: Dim sum (char siu bun, char siu puff with Yunnan ham, steamed chicken in soy sheet wrap, steamed rice rolls, etc.), siu mei, boiled congee, noodle soup, stir-fried noodles...
